MISS PAKISTAN – ANZHELIKA TAHIR

FHM:Tell us about yourself and your journey so far?
AT: My life has always been based on the knowledge of arts & entertainment as i have studied at music school. I grew up in Kiev, Ukraine; my mother is Ukrainian and my father is Pakistani. I came to the Miss Pakistan World contest by chance; I always thought that it is impossible for a common person like me to win. My goal for this year is to represent my country Pakistan in international contests, and show my Pakistani heritage and culture in a positive way.

FHM: How do you feel representing Pakistan in such beauty pageants?
AT:
I feel blessed and proud to represent my wonderful country in international pageants. I believe this is an amazing way to change people’s perception and their mind about Pakistan. I am happy that I have the chance to do that. Any international winning for Pakistan is Pakistan’s win!

FHM: What made you choose modeling?
AT:
My completely different looks, due to being part Ukrainian and part Pakistani, attracted the people as it made me unique. So, when I grew up people started contacting me for modeling and fashion assignments and that is how I came into this field.

FHM: Any advice you would like to give to the new contestants who will join Miss Pakistan World?
AT: Each contestant is beautiful and a strong opponent. One must be nice and friendly to everyone, and not to be afraid to ask if one didn’t understand something. Beauty queen should be beautiful not just from the outside but also from the inside. Another piece of advice is that besides the crown and other gifts; you will also get the opportunity to represent Pakistan abroad in international pageants.

FHM: Where do you see yourself in next few years?
AT: I have got a couple of invitation from the Lollywood industry; my management team is working on schedules. So, hopefully you will see me in a couple of Pakistani movies soon.
