Muslim designer sets a new trend with her Hijab Collection for all skin colours

Islamic fashion is in rise, around the globe, and people are really loving it. Following the line and catering to the tradition, another designer has come up; but with a slight twist to this convention. Habiba Da Silva is not an ordinary 22-year-old designer, but she has started her own Hijab fashion line based on skin colours.

The Birmingham based designer has torn the boundaries of racism and has included hijabs of each and every colour in her collection. Moreover, she also designs scarves for men. Habiba Da Silva in a statement said;

“I wanted to do something where everybody was [included] and I wanted to showcase different people together. I wanted to break the barrier of having too many companies who just used lighter-skin models.”

Di Salva has also faced a severe backlash for the price range of her hijabs which is nearly £20. But, in her clarification, she has stated that;

“I have put so much [investment] and effort into … this. I literally can’t go anywhere else with the price.”

No matter what, we liked that idea that Habia Di Salva put in so much of her efforts and time to start a new norm in Islamic Fashion line. Here are some of the pictures of her incredible initiative;
