5 Eid trends you’ll wish you had known about earlier

While the last couple of weeks in the style spotting department had been particularly boring, celebrity Eid looks have given us a lot to unpack.

Now we can’t turn back time, but here are some of the trends we’ve picked up on that truly separated the ‘sheep’ from the true fashionista this Bakra Eid:

Casual saris:

While wearing a sari sounds high-maintenance, we’ve found it’s actually quite the opposite and pretty darn liberating. Pair an airy, breezy sari with a white button down, crop top or blouse, the options are endless.

Cotton ghararas:

The lightweight cotton gharara makes a lot of sense for Eid: You can pair it with a plain kameez or an embroidered one. Just the right combo of traditional and quirky.

Baby blue hues:

Basically 50 shades of blue reigned supreme this year.

Updo with a middle parting:

Don’t think we forgot hair trends. A sleek, classy bun with a middle parting was a popular choice this year.

Now we know some of us have PTSD regarding middle parted hair from our childhood but it’s time to get over it; this updo is an incredibly simple way to instantly up the glam quotient, especially when it’s coupled with a bold lip.

Khussas:

Comfortable, versatile and oh so chic, khussas are truly timeless.
