Christian Louboutin is in Pakistan. The statement is enough to freak out all the shoe fanatics throughout the country, because the pioneer of shoe designing around the world is here to visit the country! Initially, he was called in to Islamabad for an exclusive dinner hosted by the Art Divvy Foundation. The dinner was hosted in the honour of Pakistan’s famous artists Imran Qureshi and Aisha Khalid.
Little did people know that Islamabad was not his only pit stop, but the lucky National College of Arts students got to meet him too. He attended the special exhibition at the Pakistan’s National Art Gallery titled ‘Two Wings To Fly, Not One,’ and later went to NCA to greet the students and their work.
Not only did the shoe maestro see the designs of NCA students, but he also sat down to have a conversation on different aspects of designing with them. How lucky, I bet they would have definitely been shouting with excitement!
If you still can’t grasp over the hype that has been created by Louboutin, it is famous for its signature red sole with high heels. Not only are these shows famous throughout the world, but have become a symbol of status quo.
So, what’s next for Christian Louboutin? Truck art or ethnic Pakistani culture in signature red soles? Well, we will all have to wait and watch what interesting this visit has in store for Pakistan.
