While everyone loves to hear a mushy romantic story, not too many people get attracted to tales of couples separating or heading for a divorce. But Indian couple; Raghu Ram and Sugandha Garg have proved that splitting might not be such a bad thing after all. The couple, who were married for over 10 years, was granted a divorce earlier this week, and the announced the same in a novel way.
Instead of a long, sobbing message, Raghu put out a happy photo with the caption, “@isugandha Some things never change. Like the love I have for you. Like the fun we have always had together. Nothing ends. It changes and the next phase begins #FriendshipGoals #DivorceGoals.”
His ex-wife joined in and posted the same image on her Instagram page with the caption, “@instaraghu It’s been a pleasure..All of it…I got you boo..#relationshipgoals #divorcegoals.”
The former couple separated in 2016, and at that time, Raghu was quoted as saying, “There is nothing much to say now, I will make an announcement once the proceedings are over, and will also throw a divorce party.”
Many people were surprised by this unusual manner of announcing a divorce, and both the celebs were flooded with comments. A follower posted on Sugandha’s feed, “So proud to see that matured individuals do exist in this world. All the best for you guys.”
On the other hand, a follower commented on Raghu’s Instagram page, “Divorce is always considered so negative in our country . people forget that divorce can actually help them in beginning of a new phase by ending your present on happy note. @instaraghu rarely you get to see # divorecegoals like this. Its all about perception and how you take it forward.”
This approach towards divorce has surely garnered a lot of attention.
