Excessive meat consumption during Eid can lead to various health problems

When it comes to Eid al-Adha, the religious holiday turns into a feast of eating and serving meat (most of the time at barbecue parties). However, excessive consumption of red meat and food that is high in sugar can cause serious health problems.

According to health experts, it is better to avoid eating excessive red meat during Eid-ul-Azha as it can increase the risk of various diseases. It can increase the risk of developing cardiovascular, kidney, liver, diabetes and gastroenteritis diseases.

Health experts also suggested that by consuming excessive red meat may cause various negative impacts on health, especially for those who have the habit of storing the meat for several months.

Frozen meat could be harmful as it may affect kidneys and cause cardiac problems.

However, a small intake of meaty food with lots of salad could be one of the best solution.


People should focus on Eid celebrations and not stuffing themselves with meat and opt for stroll after a meal to burn calories.

In case of any serious condition, a doctor should be consulted without any delay.
