Independence Celebrations in full swing at McDonald’s

Independence Day is a big day and everyone, no matter whether it’s an individual or a brand loves to own it. McDonald’s being an international brand but equally loved in Pakistan is owning this day in its own unique way for past couple of years by incorporating the cultural celebrations throughout the month of August.

But this year, McDonald’s took it a notch above making us go wowed. The iconic red fries box changed its avatar in beautiful, collectible heritage fries boxes; celebrating Punjab by incorporating Multani pottery design, Sindh through the depiction of culturally embedded Ajrak design, Balochistan through rich Ralli handicraft and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through its globally celebrated Truck Art, bringing all the regions together.

Not just that, these nationwide celebrations are coupled with in-store cultural ambassadors, dressed-up and welcomes the customers in regional language. The drive-thru ordering kiosks have life-size cutouts in regional dresses along with selfie-props and photo booths. The celebrations at McDonald’s are so immense that you feel the spirit of Azadi sending goosebumps throughout the month of August across the nation.
