Queen Elizabeth is learning how to video chat!

Queen Elizabeth II adheres to a fairly meticulous schedule when it comes to all of her appearances, but it now seems like she might have to steer off track in the face of a global emergency. The queen will give a televised speech about the global pandemic. A date has not yet been set, and the queen herself has not yet confirmed the speech.

A “royal source” said that the Queen will follow the “advice of the government as to when would be the best time for the speech to be deployed.”

In light of the pandemic, Queen Elizabeth II has moved to Windsor Castle with her husband, Prince Phillip. She will reportedly coordinate the speech with her aides through means of a video chat service to maintain social distancing.

Queen Elizabeth has actively been practising social distancing. She has used Face-time and Skype to communicate with her friends and family.

Her Majesty will be given instructions on how to communicate with loved ones amid the pandemic. Palace aides will be setting up video conferencing at the residence any day now. The monarch, as of now, is practising social-distancing at Windsor Castle with her husband Prince Philip.

The other three “special addresses” were her 1991 comments about the Gulf War, her 1997 speech in light of Princess Diana’s death, and her 2002 speech after her mother’s death.

The Queen, however, has already released a pre-speech statement about COVID-19.

On March 19th, she posted a comment about her move to Windsor, thanked scientists and healthcare and emergency workers, and reminded the nation that each person has a role to play with regards to the efforts being made to keep everyone else safe.

“Many of us will need to find new ways of staying in touch with each other and making sure that loved ones are safe. I am certain we are up to that challenge. You can be assured that my family and I stand ready to play our part.” she stated.

Now that the Queen’s been using Skype and FaceTime, it seems like times are changing for all of us.
