Make your own non-toxic mascara following this easy method

Mascara can’t be missed while doing eye-makeup as it enhances eye-lashes making them look thick, long and dark. It dates back to the ancient Egyptians who used to apply kohl coloured eye-liner to protect their eyes from the bright sun because it helped deflect the glare away.

But today, the products are not natural as they were in those days. Now the mascaras are packed with many chemicals that might harm the natural beauty of your eyes. Therefore, today people strive to make things at home using natural ingredients. And it is worth making a little effort!

So why purchase expensive mascaras with yucky ingredients when you can make a non-toxic one on your own? Follow the given method of preparing it and get bright eyes with big lashes!

Its preparation requires just 3 things. Obviously, it is not going to be waterproof, but atleast all-natural; and can be wiped off easily with water and soap.

Here you go!

  • Take 1 tablespoon organic coconut oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon beeswax
  • 1 capsule of activated charcoal (buy a handsome quantity of activated charcoal and encapsulate yourself)

Directions:

Take the charcoal in a small bowl and add coconut oil (liquid form) into it.

Stir the two ingredients naturally until well combined.

Melt the remaining coco oil and beeswax together on a low flame.

Now add this mixture into the charcoal one and stir as much as you can.

And the grainy mixture is ready to use. Dip a mascara wand into the mixture and apply it on your eye-lashes.

*Store it in a covered container to protect it from bacteria.

You may also add Aloe vera gel into the mixture because it has countless benefits. Known for its soothing virtues, the gel repairs and soothes the contours of the most delicate eyes.
