After Stealing hearts in To All the Boys I Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. Noah Centineo is back.
Netflix is Never Letting Go of Noah Centineo, he is appearing in his third Netflix rom-com, The Perfect Date. Only this time, he’s the star. In a trailer released Tuesday, Centineo plays Brooks Rattigan, a strapped for cash high-schooler who realizes he can make a lot of money by loaning himself out to rich kids who need last-minute dates to things.
“I’ve always wanted to date the most popular girl, drive the nicest car, and go to the fanciest school—but I can’t afford any of that,” he says in the beginning of the trailer. His side-hustle begins when he avails his date services to a rich kid whose cousin doesn’t have a date to the semi-formal dance.
As he takes more jobs, though, Brooks faces an identity crisis … and, perhaps, a love triangle involving Celia and his dream girl, Shelby played by Camila Mendes. “I don’t know which version of myself I’m supposed to be,” he says in the trailer. “It’s time to figure out who I am and what I want.”
The Perfect Date, set for an April 12 release, is Centineo’s third rom-com with Netflix in under a year, which is somewhat unbelievable. Thanks to his charm and endless comparisons to a young Mark Ruffalo , Centineo has quickly become the streamer’s latest star.
