Salman Khan’s tubelight banned in Pakistan?

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s much awaited film ‘Tubelight’ might not hit the screens on Eid in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Film Distributors Association and the Pakistan Film Producers Association, along with various local film-makers, are actively trying to stall the release of Bollywood Tubelight. However according to sources, the Ministry had given directives to stop the release of Tubelight and Vidya Balan’s Begum Jaan.

According to senior actor Mustafa Qureshi, the government should always give top priority to local projects. “I have always maintained that there should be a complete ban on Indian films.”

I believe the authorities have taken a good step by promoting their own movies rather than giving a hike to Bollywood movies as two Pakistani films have already been announced for Eid-ul-Fitr.
