Sami Khan, Neelum Munir’s Wrong No 2 to hit cinemas this Eid

Yasir Nawaz’s upcoming venture Wrong No 2 is all set to release on Eid ul Fitr. While advance booking has opened across all cinema houses in the country, promotional campaigns by the cast and crew are in full swing too. Trade analysts are predicting a tough box office clash between Wrong No 2 and the Mehwish Hayat-starrer Chhalawa.

Earlier this month, Wrong No 2 cast Sami Khan, Neelum Muneer, Sana Fakhar, Javaid Sheikh and Shafqat Cheema promoted their project in various areas of Karachi. This week they will be carrying out advertisement runs in Lahore and will also make necessary arrangement for the film’s premiere.

Wrong No 2’s trailer was being released in late April, it failed to leave a mark on most viewers. As shown in the trailer, we can feel the romantic comedy between Sami and Neelum’s characters, complete with a lovey-dovey song in the backdrop.

According to cinema owners, Sami Khan and Neelum Munir starrer has already received an overwhelming response in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad during its pre-booking phase. This comes as a relief to stakeholders who were in the midst of financial crisis following the ban on Bollywood films in the country.

“We assure the public that Wrong No 2 will be filled with entertainment. Although competition is rife and Chhalawa is releasing on Eidul Fitr too, we are hopeful Yasir Nawaz’s film will dominate cinemas and box office figures,” said a Distribution Club member, requesting anonymity.

“This is purely a family film and the perfect kind to release on Eid. We are releasing the film on more than 100 screens and producers have worked extremely hard on it too. Sami Khan and Neelum Muneer have acted exceptionally well. We remain confident that Wrong No 2 will bring back audiences to cinema houses again,” stated the source.
