Actor-politician Sunny Deol will be part of the inaugural procession visiting Pakistan to attend the opening of the Kartarpur corridor, the Punjab Chief Minister’s office was quoted as saying by a news agency
Bollywood actor Sunny Deol will reportedly reach Pakistan tomorrow. The Gurdaspur BJP MP will be a part of the official jatha that will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor on November 9, 2019. The news comes after a public announcement made by the Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh’s office on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Indian Prime Minister’s Office has cleared Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu’s visit to Pakistan to take part in the Kartarpur corridor opening ceremony on the Pakistani side too.
Several Indian media outlets also reported that the Indian Prime Minister’s Office has allowed Punjab Congress Leader, Navjot Singh Sidhu, to visit Pakistan and take part in the Kartarpur Corridor opening ceremony.
Two days ahead of the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor, India claimed on Thursday that contradictory reports have been coming from Pakistan, with regards to whether Indians will require a passport to visit the Darbar Sahib shrine. However, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar, told India Today that an agreement had been signed between the two countries, finalising the modalities of the visits and added that India will follow.
