International Chefs Day falls every year on October 20. This international observance is considered to be a professional day for all the chefs around the world. It is a celebration to honor and recognize all chefs for their dedication, love of culinary, and willingness to serve their community for the common good.
The celebration of International Chefs Day includes culinary contests that are organized to encourage the young and upcoming talent of culinary arts industry.
This year’s adopted globally theme was “Art on the plate” where more than 72 students Of COTHM Karachi participated along with the leading TV celebrity chefs and general manager of leading multinational hotel chains of Pakistan.
COTHAM being the leading hotel management college of Pakistan has organized numerous culinary art events and activities such as cooking skills competition, Chefs walk and reorganization to industrial and celebrity media chefs.
The main motive of the event organized yesterday was to provide chefs with the tools necessary to advance in their careers while creating a network of corporate chefs from the nation’s largest multi-unit food service operations and spread awareness about healthy food and promote the profession of Culinary Arts in Pakistan.
