The moment of awkwardness spread in the arena when Steve Harvey apologised the crowd for making the worst mistake of the evening.
Steve Harvey when walking back on-stage at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino said, “I have to apologize, The first runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines”.
Ariadna Gutierrez who’d already donned the Miss Universe crown and sash and took her first walk as the winner stood shell-shocked after the announcement. A moment later two women stood side by side with mixed emotions on their faces while the crown was swiftly removed from Miss Colombia and given to Miss Philippines after host realised his mistake at the end of the ceremony in Las Vegas.
Seems like Steve Harvey was super excited to announce the winner but messed it up big time. But whatsoever, FHM congratulates Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Columbia good luck and amazing future ahead.
