A study has revealed flashing a grin makes you look older than you are by as much as two whole years.
That’s right, research has found that when we look happy, rather than maintaining a poker face, we age ourselves in the eyes of strangers.
According to the person who have worked on this study, said;
“We associate smiling with positive values and youth…think of all the skin-care and toothpaste companies that sell the same idea every day.”
The researchers believe that’s because smiling calls attention to wrinkles around a person’s eyes, while a look of surprise stretches and smooths skin.
