After having so much trouble casting an actor for Aladdin’s titular lead, prompting people to offer their own suggestions online. Disney has officially announced its Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and Genie for its live-action remake of Aladdin. Mena Massound will play titular Aladdin, Naomi Scott is playing Princess Jasmine and Will Smith will take on the role of Genie.
“Aladdin” was the highest-grossing film of the year in 1992, and won Academy Awards for best score and best song for “A Whole New World.” Hoping it to be the best this time as well.
