Hassan Sheheryar Yasin is a proud part of Pakistan’s fashion fraternity. The fashion guru himself doesn’t need an introduction. Owing to the years’ he has spent in nurturing the fashion industry of Pakistan, the biggest fashion force of the country proudly flaunted the inaugural of his CSR project; “HSY Mentorship Program”.
HSY’s Mentorship Program or HMP intends to find the hidden talent, with respect to designing, from all over Pakistan. Every year, HSY’s Karachi Mansion will host a handful of designers and will train them to face the tasks and challenges of fashion industry.
Apart from providing the best training to the designers to spur up their resourcefulness and innate abilities, HSY’s Mentorship program will prepare them to jump into the field and start running their own businesses; with accordance to the launch in Pakistani market.
Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, the brainchild behind the brand and the mastermind of such productive activities, stated during the launch;
“As we celebrate our 24 Years and continue our expansion and segmentation of businesses, we reach out to the very fabric of our brand which is great pride in Pakistan and our commitment to give something back to a country which has given us so much. Indeed the aim of HMP is to provide aspiring talent a platform from which they reach their true potential. When I started, I and so many of my fellow design fraternity members felt the need to be trained and mentored commercially. We learnt fresh out of school through pure trial and error with no one really honing us and guiding us. I now want to develop a sustainable and committed platform to reach out to and help the best talent Pakistan has. The time has come for us to create more pillars of strength and structure to build the fashion business and this is where my passion is- putting my experience into mentorship.”
The criteria and method of selection, date of program initiation and other details will be announced in 2017.
