Let us benefit from this rain in true sense by converting it into an opportunity. The people of Karachi are vulnerable to heat strokes because of the rapid expansion of concrete structures across the city
The rainy season is the best time to plant new trees, because chances of survival increase in this season. Every household and all housing scheme must have space to accommodate some plants. What is required is will power and the awareness of the importance of trees among the people.
I suggest that the authorities give different parks and public places to individuals, NGOs or companies to plant trees and care for them.
Just take a look at the example of the citizen who has planted 1,280 saplings of 45 different species in an area of 400 square yards in a park adjacent to Neher-e-Khayam in Clifton Block 5.
Government and non-government organizations are required to support individuals who want to plant trees. Every possible space should be utilized for plantation.
