Once upon a time, Karachi’s most expensive and elite cinema house – Universe Cinplex – located on Seaview in Defence has stopped all operations, hence shutting down permanently.
The news came about with sudden call of actions, when a picture was found, clearly depicting the ‘before and after’ of the cinema house.

It is sad to see how a cinema came from everything to nothing in just a matter of a few years, acknowledging the fact that “cinema is reviving” in Pakistan. It is still unknown why the owners decided to call off the operations, but whatever the reason maybe, shutting down and calling quits could not have been the only way out.
I remember watching my first movie in this cinema, and must I quote hear that though the movie itself was a disaster but the memories made are unforgettable. Never could we have thought of Universe Cineplex, Seaview, to have come about an end like this.
All we hope is to see a new beginning, since the world of entertainment has just stepped forth into this industry and we are surely in dire need of such cinema houses!
