It feels like talk about the upcoming Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg has been going on forever.
Sony’s Uncharted movie has been in the works for a couple of years now and unfortunately for the production, the movie has once again lost another director.
Previously, Bumblebee’s director Travis Knight was all set to helm the project but due to scheduling conflicts with star Tom Holland, he has stepped away from the struggling movie.
However, to quickly work on the problem of not having a director and to get the movie back on track, Sony Pictures is reportedly working hard to find a replacement and their eyes have been turned to Venom director, Ruben Fleischer.
Deadline reports that the studio is keen to have the Venom and Zombieland director at the project’s helm.
No word or confirmation has been made just yet about the director role but hopefully Ruben will join the Uncharted movie and finally set sail to the struggling movie.
Not much else is known about the highly-anticipated movie that’s been in development for a while now, except that it takes place before all the events of the game and will start Tom as a younger Nathan Drake and Mark as his mentor, Sully.
Uncharted is supposed to make its way to the big screen in December 2020, but will all the challenges the movie has faced, we’re crossing our fingers and toes that this will still happen.
Have you been waiting to see Uncharted? Do you think Ruben is the perfect fit for this movie? Let us know!
