According to local news media, the Pakistan government raised fuel prices by $4 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) rates by $2 per litre, as well as kerosene and light diesel oil prices by $7.05 and $8.82 per litre, respectively.
The state has absorbed greater international pricing pressures by lowering the petroleum charge and the sales tax, it noted.
“It is worth noting that fuel costs in Pakistan are the lowest in the area,” according to the announcement. Earlier, an OGRA official stated that the government will publish the pricing of petroleum products tomorrow. Petrol costs Rs127.30 per litre after the Rs4 rise, but high-speed diesel costs Rs122.04 per litre after the Rs2 increase.
