In life, there is always that person we can never forget. No matter how far we go in life or how much we get ahead in a relationship, there is always that one person who we can’t seem to eradicate these emotions we may have felt for that one person, our first true love, somebody we imagined our entire life with.
We often live in their shadow, keep trying to find them in all the people we date, love or are around. We always keep chasing the idea of that person and hope that we can somehow find something which fills that gap. It’s not easy when you keep going back into that time and it’s certainly not easy sustaining a new relationship when your mind is reminiscent of that bond you once shared with that person.
It often makes you feel like you are at war with yourself and constantly trying to find them everywhere you go.
What you should remember is that person may have been your everything at some point but they are not in your life for a reason. The past is bittersweet but never let your head down and always remember the good times. I am not sure if that person will ever come back into your life, love you the way you imagined or live upto all those expectations once you had from them but what you can hope for is that they always remember you in a way that is unmatched to anyone in their life. May all you heartbroken readers be able to send this message out to those we lost along the way, those we crave for and those we wish were by our side.
