Prince William proposed Kate Middleton in 2010, by giving her the shining 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire ring that his late mother, Princess Diana wore when she married to Prince Charles.
And when both got engaged in London in 2011, Kate added a beautiful gold band to fit perfectly next to her sparkler.
But amazingly there was no big exchange or rings, because Prince William never got one. Unbelievable? What was the reason? Simply because It’s just not his style.
Before their marriage the palace released a statement about his decision to ditch tradition and go ringless, saying, “It is simply down to personal preference. It was something the couple discussed but Prince William isn’t one for jewelry.”
