Previously, Mahira Khan faced a lot of issues promoting her Bollywood debut “Raees” in India, however that is not the case with Saba Qamar.
Now, one cannot say that the troubled relationship between the two neighboring countries has improved exactly, but Saba sure seems set to change it.
When asked Irrfan about his view on banning the Pakistani artists, he said:
“When we started doing the film, there was no restriction on Pakistani artistes in Bollywood. It all began after we started,” he said recently. “Even now, I am not sure if the government has taken a stand on whether Pakistani artistes should be allowed to work in our industry or not. If something is legally permissible, should vigilante organisations stop them?”
Saba Qamar will soon be making her Bollywood debut in the upcoming Hindi Medium, which will hit the cinemas on May 12. Will she be allowed to promote her film across the border or not, that remains to be seen!
