Fast and Furious 9 release postponed to 2020

The ninth edition of ‘Fast and Furious’ was all set to hit cinemas in 2019.

While movies get delayed all the time, co-star Tyrese Gibson is not happy about it, lashing out at Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock and producing partner, Hiram Garcia.

No reason has been given by Universal Pictures, the studio behind the movie for the change. Furthermore, there is no word yet on whether the release date for Fast and Furious 10 which was April 2021 has also been changed.

To compensate for the gap, Universal Pictures stated that it will release the movie’s first, non-numbered feature starring characters Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), as per the sources.
