Deepika is currently riding high on success as the actor completed 10 years in the industry just recently. Even as her upcoming film Padmavati continues to be in news, Deepika has remained strong headed raising her concern on the state of freedom of expression in our country.
Recently in an interview Deepika opened about her private life, she said, “A broken relationship and depression. Those were the two very low points of my life.” Needless to say, the ‘broken relationship’ was with her former actor Ranbir Kapoor.
She continued, “Also today my work is everything for me. I have created it. I am responsible for my success and failure. No one else can take that away from me. That’s what I have focussed all my energies and efforts on. It’s my baby.”
Deepika is currently in a relationship with her Padmavati co-star Ranveer Singh. When inquired when she plans to take her relationship to the next level, she stated, “Hmmm…and what would the next level be? It’s not obvious. I don’t know if marriage per se… Because I believe every relationship has its natural progression. I’m discovering that myself.”
