Even though filmmaker Nandita Das earlier commented how she was working to have her film, the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Manto release in Pakistan, it seems things have not worked in her favor. Talking to Dawn, Danyal Gilani, chairperson Federal Censor Board said that so no importer had approached the board for clearance for the film yet.
“There are many importers of movies in Pakistan. Difficult to tell offhand what are their thoughts about a specific movie,” Gilani was reported to have said.
Fans in Pakistan might have to wait to watch the movie.
