The name of the ninth season of American Horror Story has been revealed!
Ryan Murphy announced that the next season will be called AHS: 1984. He posted a teaser video on Instagram. Many popular horror movies were released in 1984, including Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and Children of the Corn.
And while it’s not explicitly referenced, in pop culture terms 1984 is often a reference to George Orwell’s dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. Whether this will be a theme remains to be seen!
