The relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have not been very stable due to the formation of blocks in the Muslim world. Pakistan, however, is determined to maintain a neutral approach towards this change because it is a basic requirement according to our foreign policy that we will establish ‘brotherly’ relations with all Muslim countries.

During these visits, the nation has been assured that the relations between both countries are good. However, the statement of Shah Mehmood Qureshi was very controversial in which he claimed that the Saudi crown prince was not supporting the Kashmir cause. Our policymakers and diplomats need to understand the fact that the relations between states are established on the basis of self-interest.
