Post URI attacks, the tension between Pakistan and India started getting serious. With the ban on Pakistani artistes working in India, most of our stars faced many problems promoting their movies in India.
Director, Onir has expressed that he wanted to sign Atif Aslam for his movie Shab but couldn’t because of Indo-Pak tension. While Atif has sung for Hindi Medium, but the director revealed that he may not be able to work with the singer at the time.
“I really wanted to work with Atif Aslam. It would have been so amazing, just like a retreating therapy. But unfortunately at the point when we had to record, things were not great between the neighboring countries. There were a lot of problems happening with films and ours being a small film, I couldn’t afford that kind of trouble.” Said Onir.
