Anwar Maqsood to perform live at Arts Council

After the success of his last theater play Naach Na Jaanay, legendary playwright Anwar Maqsood is back in the game. While his last play was loved by all and sundry, especially the character of Akbar played by Yasir Hussain, viewers are still waiting for the announcement of his next script (be it theater, film or television). Finally here is a good news for theaters lovers.

Anwar Maqsood will take the stage later this month, in a one-man show, titled Faqat Anwar at the Arts Council. The segment will feature storytelling, letter reading and recitation by the man himself.

“Witness a rollercoaster of laughter and emotions as Anwar Maqsood goes live at Karachi Arts Council!” read a post on the official Facebook account of KopyKats Studios, the production banner behind the show.

Faqat Anwar will have a three-day run in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad each. In Karachi, it is scheduled to take place from November 22nd till 24th. Limited tickets are available as well as early bird discount, which applies till November 5.
