Pakistan singer Jawad Ahmed recently submitted an application for the registration of his party to the Election Commission of Pakistan to launch his own political party.
Election Commission of Pakistan officials say they are examining the papers for formal registration of the new party.
They further said that the registration will be approved if the request meets legal requirements.
Ahmad, who has been active in education sector welfare work for some years, said he had formed the party “for the common man and the poor”.
