Khyber Pakhtunkhwa youngster lands lead role in Hollywood

A youngster from Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has landed the lead role in an upcoming Hollywood short film, The Cure.

The 29year old Mashood Alam Malik who hails from Karak town, plays Noah, part of a team that attempts to save the world from a group aiming to spread a deadly virus. Mashood Alam, who had relocated to the United States five years ago, where he has been practising gymnastics and parkour, says he loves the villains in Hollywood movies — which is also something he looks forward to playing in the future.

The trailer of the film was released earlier in the month and is slated for release in 2020. The trailer shows Mashood Alam being briefed by his team lead about his mission and the actor is then seen dodging bullets and running away from enemy helicopters.

Alam had relocated to the United States five years ago, where he has been practicing gymnastics and parkour free-running and is actually a pretty accomplished trainer now.
