Meet the first Black Miss Brazil in 30 years Raissa Santana

It feels so good to see people accepting black as a beautiful colour. As a result of acceptance, the discrimination of white and black is now reducing and soon, it will be long gone from our society.

Just when we talk about history; Raissa Santana, recently made major history as the first black woman in 30 years, by winning the title of Miss Brazil 2016. In 1986, Deise Nunes was crowned as the first black Miss Brazil.

This years pageant had significance because, 54% of Brazil’s population is either black or multiracial. This year, 6 out of 27 Miss Brazil contestants were black, making it the most diverse pageant ever.
