The Pakistani film industry is going through a lightening speed, making a great leap in terms of skills and technology to catch up to other industries.
Directed by Haissam Hassan and produced by Sadia Jabbar, the highly anticipated film Balu Mahi with a star cast including Osman Khalid Butt, Ainy Jaffri and Sadaf Kanwal was released last night.
It was assumed that Balu Mahi would not have any competition at the Pakistani box office because of the ban on Bollywood films.
Talking about the issue in an interview, Osman Khalid Butt shared his point of view saying that its good that Bollywood films are banned.
He further said, generations have grown up on a staple diet of Bollywood cinema so to remove that we saw ourselves when we were promoting the movie, that there was very little footfall in the cinemas because of the lack of Indian movies.
