Kareena and Shahid after their breakup appeared in Jab We Met and we all loved their chemistry.
When Udhta Punjab script came to Shahid Kapoor he immediately recommended Kareena Kapoor’s name for the role and thought she’d be perfect for that role. That’s when Shahid asked Karan Johar to approach Kareena.
When Karan shared the script with Kareena she accepted the role and said “Im only signing this movie because of Shahid” She further came forward and said onscreen that: “I was sitting in the film still considering whether I should sign this film or not when I got a call from Karan Johar to sign the film and he told me that Shahid requested him to persuade me as the role was perfect for me”
Thats when Kareena accepted the role!
