The internet once used to be all about memes and motivational quotes as well as hilarious challenges but the recent virus we now call “Viral Sensation” has taken over the social media by a storm and there is no stopping them.
As much as social media is a platform for positive image building and developing brands, it is now a fast track option for many to become overnight stars.
Forget about the singer composing covers or promoting his original music since ten years for a taste of recognition. The only things that go viral now are sultry dance moves, random scams and extraordinary characters who truly have made little to no effort yet receive immense recognition.
The “Dil yeh pukare” girl was called to a morning show to talk about her “Oh so unique” dance moves. What about the student that won 29 medals and made the nation proud? Dead silence.
Think about this. Are we really that much of a passive audience that we forget to credit what matters?
