After his diagnosis four months ago, the actor went to London to seek treatment, which is working and he hopes to resume shooting Udham Singh biopic by the year-end probably, confirmed director Shoojit Sircar.
However, before he headed off to the UK, Filmfare reports that he was keen to meet SRK; the two are good friends. As soon as Shah Rukh got a call from Irrfan’s wife, Sutapa, he left the studio where he was shooting to meet the family.
Reportedly, Shah Rukh spent two hours in the actor’s company and handed over the keys to his London house as a gesture so Irrfan and his family could feel at home during the on-going treatment.
Now that’s a real friend!
