“Superman: Red Son” the animated movie has been given a release date.
The film explores the idea of how the Cold War might have affected the world if the Kryptonian had landed in Soviet Union instead of the United States.
Slated for release on February 20, 2020, the animated film’s cast includes Jason Isaacs, Roger Craig Smith, Vanessa Marshall, Amy Acker, and Diedrich Bader.
The trailer for “Superman: Red Son” shows Superman fighting various DC superheroes including Lex Luthor, Batman and Green Lantern.
They clash with Superman on behalf of the US government. The trailer shows Wonder Woman as an American ambassador.
It also features real-world political figures including John F. Kennedy and Joseph Stalin.
The February release is for digital downloads of the DC Comics movie while the 4K Ultra HD and blu-ray combo packs are slated to be available on March 17, 2020.
