A letter to my past self

Dear me in 2011,

I know you feared this, I know you were alone and clueless and it wasn’t easy losing your only support system. Specially, when you did not know how to go through what this rollercoaster of life gives us.

Those days that you wondered if you’ll ever be able to recover from this and those nights you spent crying softly so no one could hear how broken you were. It all ends. It does. Just keep striving for what you love and deserve and keep your head high. That’s what you would keep telling yourself.

I want to tell you, it’s okay to not be okay. You weren’t designed to fight these battles alone but you did. You came through them like the queen you are and who knew, the girl that was once scared, insecure and under-confident would make it big?

You have so much potential in you, you don’t need anyone to tell you that, you will grow into this wonderful woman who will inspire so many people and that’s my promise to you. You will be happy, successful and radiate excellence. Just don’t lose hope.

Just never give up.

Until next time.

Love,

Me in 2022.
