Kangana Ranaut is a known figure of Bollywood for being the part of controversary. She was vocal in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. She often uses social media to criticize nepotism and drug cartels in Bollywood.
She tweeted that she doesn’t feel safe in Mumbai and Mumbai is turning into ‘Pakistan occupied Kashmir’. She also claims that her right to freedom of speech is given to her. She can’t speak on the issues she wants to. She criticized Maharashtra’s government a couple of times and a backlash is on her. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) cited her office in Mumbai as illegal construction and started demolishing it on 9 September 2020. She went to the Chief Minister Udhhav Thackeray and warned him on his illegal move.
Now, many Bollywood stars are criticizing this move of BMC and calling it the revenge of the statements and criticism of Kangana.
Anupam Kher tweeted about the issue and called BMC a ‘bullydozer’ for demolishing Kangana’s property. He said that it will adversely affect the people of the state. Actress Kbbra Sait was blocked by Kangana on Twitter. However, she supported Kangana in this issue and called BMC’s actions as ‘not cool’.
Many other celebrities have termed BMC’s move as an act of revenge and have condemned it.
