You would be surprised to know that Prime Minister Imran Khan was once engaged to the legendary Bollywood actress Rekha.
A 1985, Indian newspaper article has resurfaced on social media, which claimed that Pakistan’s then fast bowler Imran Khan and Bollywood’s diva Rekha were getting married.
According to the news report by The Star, “Rekha’s mother was convinced that the man best suited as life partner to her daughter could not be other than Imran Khan.”
The actress had also visited Lahore in 1989 to attend a fundraising event for the Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
Rekha also termed actor Raj Babar as “side se Dekho to Bilkul Imran Khan” in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s picture ‘Jhooti’ – the film was released in 1985.
