Mahira Khan subliminally criticized the Islamabad High Court for taking action against the celebrations of Valentine’s Day. The actress tweeted:

Mahira’s jibe at the ban can be considered as a slap to the authorities, which have failed to provide protection and safety to the state. Therefore, instead of keeping people safe, this government is banning those things which have trivial to no importance.
IHC had banned the celebrations of Valentine’s Day festivities, arguing that the day wasn’t meant to be celebrated by Muslims. Both print and electronic media were also restricted for the coverage.
