IS OVERTHINKING A MENTAL ILLNESS?

In this generation, a lot of us are going through depression, overthinking, anxiety and various kind of related issues.  90 percent of the population is going through it. And a lot of us don’t know how to overcome this mental illness. Overthinking basically occurs when you worry about something or some situation repeatedly. You over think so much that you lose your appetite you lose your sleep, you get sick, you get severe migraine, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and many other mental illness/sufferings. You become numb. All you think about is the things the thought that is causing you to stress out, it becomes so stressful that you stop focusing on yourself, your work that it makes you unhealthy.

HOW TO OVERCOME/STOP OVERTHINKING?

To overcome/stop overthinking you need to do few things. As you can’t just stop overthinking rapidly or in a day or two. Ittake’s time. So, for the start all you need to do is make a list on your phone or on your notepad. There are few things that need to be focused on first.

• First you need to for a minute try hard to not think about those specific things that you are stressing about. it’s going to be hard but you’ll have to do even for a minute.

• You can join gym, go out for a walk on a daily basis early in the morning. A morning walk is very healthy for everyone. Even for people who aren’t going through overthinking phase.

• Engage yourself with various activities for example cooking, baking, arts, sketching, painting and etc.

• Meet your friends, plan a meetup. Go out with your friends for lunch, dinner or anything.

• Seek help through a professional therapist or Psychologist. They also help you a lot to overcome this mental illness gradually.

I hope this helps you a bit. Thankyou.
