Legoland Florida is introducing a new special event called Lego Movie Days, which will begin in mid-July at the Winter Haven theme park.
The park says there are 15 interactive activities, food choices and builds during the event, which will be held on Saturdays and Sundays between July 13 and Aug. 4. It is included in regular park admission.
Visitors during Lego Movie Days will have photo ops with the new Rex Dangervest character (alter-ego of Emmet). There are also scavenger hunts (Search for Hearts and Stars plus Find Emmet’s Friends) inside Miniland USA and Lego Movie World.
The Danish billionaire family behind the Lego empire has struck a deal to acquire Legoland operator Merlin Entertainments for £4.8 billion ($6.1 billion).
The family partnered with Blackstone and Canadian pension fund CPPIB to make the offer.
