Customers will now receive a MacCoin with the purchase of a Big Mac Meal. This coin can then be used to redeem a free Big Mac any time between now and the end of 2018.
McDonald’s is rolling out a massive 6.2 million MacCoins to ensure plenty of lucky fans can get their hands on these collectibles.The gold colored coins feature five unique designs, each one representinga decade since the Big Mac’s creation.
The ’70s coin showcasesthe counter-culture movement, the ’80s coin alludes to pop art, the ’90s coin is defined by bold, abstract shapes, the early ’00s coin focuses on technology, and the ’10s coin depicts the evolution of communication.
