The Pakistani origin actor made to the cover of "Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People"

The British actor of Pakistani origin, Riz Ahmed – known for his exceptional acting in The Reluctant Fundamentalist – has proudly made it to the cover of Time Magazine along with being titled among the 100 most influential figures in the world.

Not only this, but the proud actor has made it to the section of “Pioneers” alongside big names like Ivanka Trump and Moonlight’s Barry Jenkins.

Apart from his outstanding work in the record breaking movie ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’, Ahmed has also appeared in some popular shows like The OA, the final series of Girls and The Night of and well-known movies including Rogue One, Jason Bourne, and Nightcrawler.

Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda paid tribute to Ahmed for all the achievements:

“Look! Riz Ahmed has been quietly pursuing every passion and opportunity for many years as an actor [The Road to Guantánamo, Four Lions, Nightcrawler], rapper [‘Post 9/11 Blues’,’Englistan’] and activist [raising funds for Syrian refugee children, advocating representation at the House of Commons].” 

“To know him is to be inspired, engaged and ready to create alongside him. The year 2016 was when all the seeds he planted bore glorious fruit, and here’s the best part: he’s just getting started.”

He expressed his gratitude for such kind words in a tweet by stating:

Apart from the mentioned, some other categories honoured icons, artists and leaders from around the states. Cover stars for the icons and artists category include John Legend and Viola Davis. Demi Lovato, Edh Sheeran, Donald Trump, and Pope Francis were among the other names present in the list.
