Press Release: World Children’s Day Celebration: Brands and NGOs Unite for Special Children’s Empowerment

Karachi: In collaboration with Art of Giving, brands and NGOs celebrated World Children’s Day at Square One Mall in Karachi. The event, dedicated to empowering the hands and enriching the lives of special children, showcased their remarkable talents through live performances and an exhibition of handcrafted products.

The urgency of this cause is underscored by staggering statistics in Pakistan: 4.6 million orphans, 400,000 children with autism, 1 in 300 babies born with Down Syndrome, and over 5,000 babies born with Thalassemia annually. This event served as a powerful reminder of the challenges faced by these children, aiming to shift perceptions and create a more inclusive society.

NGO partners ACELP, AMTF, and House of Blessing illuminated their impactful work. ACELP, with a legacy since 1974, supports over 200 special children with Autism and Down Syndrome. AMTF, a beacon since 2003, operates a cashless 24/7 hospital providing free holistic treatment to Thalassemia patients. House of Blessing, a project of CDRS since 2005, provides a caring home for 30+ orphans.

The collaborative celebration went beyond mere entertainment; it created awareness, challenged stereotypes, and fostered a future where special children can contribute as a productive force in society. The success of the event signals a step toward creating a more compassionate and inclusive Pakistan, reflecting the ethos of the participating brands and NGOs.

In conjunction with Art of Giving, heartfelt gratitude is extended to our partners for their unwavering support and commitment to this noble cause. Square One Mall, tapmad, SPAR supermarkets, Bol News, GTV, FM 107, Starbazaar, RedBox, MindMachine, and FHM, your collaboration has been instrumental in making this event a success and contributing to a brighter future for special children in Pakistan.
