Ranbir Kapoor opens up on his “Ae dil hai mushkil” co-star Fawad Khan

Ranbir Kapoor said he admires Fawad Khan and feels sad that his name was dragged into a controversy during the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Fawad Khan is everyone’s favourite in Pakistan and he also became a heartthrob in India after his debut film ‘Khoobsurat’.

However, the ban against Pakistani artists forced fawad khan to leave the country just before the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.’

In an interview Ranbir Kapoor said, “He is someone who I admire and I also connected to him as a friend. I would love to do a film with him where we can share screen space for a longer time,”

“His role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil added so much of dignity and so much of an impact. He was kind enough to do it as it was like a guest appearance, it wasn’t a big part,” he added.

Ranbir’s father, Rishi Kapoor, co-starred with Fawad Khan in the movie Kapoor And Sons. Ranbir said that his parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, are fans of Fawad Khan.

“I loved his part in ‘Kapoor and Sons’. My parents are his fans. My mother is borderline obsessed with Fawad, she has been watching serials like ‘Humsafar’.”

Rockstar actor said that it was ‘unfortunate’ that the 35-year-old actor had to ‘bear the brunt’ due to the political tension between India and Pakistan.

“We keep talking about films all the time. We are very close friends. Karan just had two lovely babies and that is taking most of his time. I think he will take a break before he gets back and dons the hat of a director. Whenever he has a film to make I would love to be a part of it,” said Ranbir Kapoor.
